The grass-free solution for species-rich maize undersowing

Profile

Comprising predominantly winter hardy species, ZeaPro helps to provide long-lasting protection against erosion. The mixture forms a diverse root system capable of building up a stable soil structure. When used as a maize undersown crop, ZeaPro initially grows sparingly, before forming a green, ground-covering stand after harvest. The mixture contains nutrient-efficient species, including ribwort plantain. This has deep roots and can have a nitrification-inhibiting effect. In doing so, it protects plant-available ammonium from being converted into readily soluble nitrate. In this way, ZeaPro can help to provide enhanced protection against leaching.
