Rockefeller is competitive and suppresses weeds, and as a red fescue variety, it is also drought tolerant. Resilience and wear resistance are generally moderate in red fescue, but vary significantly within the variety spectrum. Rockefeller is significantly more resilient than other varieties, which confirms its good rating for sports turf in Germany. Excellent tolerance, especially to rust and rot, complements Rockefeller's very good turf properties.
