Balance
Fructan-reduced* mixture for grazing and hay production – developed for sensitive horses
Profile
This reduced-fructan grass mixture has been specifically developed for sensitive horses and ponies. By selecting grasses with naturally lower fructan levels*, it helps reducing the risk of laminitis, particularly after turnout to pasture.
The mixture is ideally suited for grazing by sensitive horses, while also providing a balanced and reliable basis for hay and silage production. This allows for flexible, horse-appropriate integration into different pasture and feeding systems.
For areas with intense wear from heavy treading or browsing, we recommend the robust COUNTRY Horse 2117 for new establishment or COUNTRY Horse 2118 for overseeding.
For improved pasture safety, flexible use and confidence in feeding your horses.
- Selected low-fructan grasses – to support laminitis prevention
- Flexible use – suitable for pasture use, hay and silage production
- Recommended for sensitive horses and ponies

Notes
*) Fructans (sugar compounds) are under discussion to promote laminitis in susceptible horses. The fructan content of grassland stands depends on the grass species and in particular on weather factors. They are beyond our control, so a low fructan content cannot be guaranteed.
