TerraLife® - MaizePro organic

Cover crop

Balanced, partially winter hardy cover crop mixtures.

As well as providing good, deep root penetration, the components in the MaizePro mix help to stabilise the soil structure and produce large quantities of soil-enriching humus. The mixture is ideal as feed for earthworms and delivers an attractive habitat for insects. If MaizePro is successfully established, tilling to a depth of 5 – 7 cm for the sowing of Maize seed is sufficient. This preserves the capillary action of the soil and so ensures sufficient water for germination. In regions that are prone to spring droughts, water consumption by the cover crop should be stopped in good time by mechanical means. The hardy components prevent soil erosion.

The organic TerraLife® mixtures have been developed together with our partners to meet the special requirements of organic farming. We produce the organic COUNTRY and TerraLife® mixtures according to the requirements, rules and regulations of the EU and the guidelines of individual member states. Our comprehensive portfolio includes mixtures with a minimum of 70% organic components. If a certain species or variety is unavailable it will be replaced with equivalents. The EU guidelines for organic mixtures vary from country to country, therefore, the usage of organic mixtures with conventional components must be clarified with the responsible regulatory authority of the country for organic seeds in advance, and if requested, approved.
