PETROSCHKA

  • high starch and energy yield
  • flint/ dent mix-type
  • very dense leaves

Petroschka is a newly registered forage maize variety in Germany. The mid-early silage maize is now directly in german official silage trials. The mixed flint/dent maize could be used as a quality maize for dairy cows and bull rearing as farmers get very high energy and starch yields per hectare. That makes it to a very economic variety especially in these times of low milk prices. The leafy variety is very affective in creating ground shading. It could also be used as a grain maize.
