Early Double purpose maize

  • strong double purpose maize
  • high starch yields
  • newly registered in Germany

DAVOS is a dual-purpose maize variety that showed a good drought tolerance during 2018. The variety is early in grain maturity and has a very good economy. The variety performed germanwide high grain yields in registration trial. These good cob performances are the basis of a good, and rich in starch silage. Furthermore DAVOS is a hybride, that has a visible dent share in its pedigree. That helps to create a silage with a very high starch availability so that the silage could be used earlier than a pure flint silage. Further characteristics are good tolerances against all major leaf disesases and and a low tillering ability.
