RAMIRO is a diploid annual ryegrass for main and cover crop use due to its late to very late ear emergence. Especially in Germany with its growing biogas market and its increasing use of total plant silage RAMIRO is an interesting annual ryegrass. When annual ryegrass for biogas use is sown very early under long-day conditions then varieties developed for cover crop use can show a reduced growth and very early ear emergence. This development is not expected for RAMIRO. It is one of the latest annual ryegrasses on the market.
